Here are some top tips for hiring wedding entertainment for your big day.

Book Early

If you book your wedding entertainment nice and early you are not only more than likely to get your first choice (the most popular wedding bands are booked 12-18 months in advance for key dates), you will also be able to bag yourself a bargain. 

Quotes will often be provided on current petrol prices and they rarely go down. Also, the more popular acts become, the more they will charge – it’s supply and demand, but if you book them early they are contracted to the quote that they provide.

Enhance Your Theme

Many weddings at the moment are based around a particular theme – sometimes very general like ‘spring’, and some much more specific such as ‘festival’ or ‘vintage’. When considering entertainment for your wedding it’s a great idea to use it to enhance your wedding theme. Think about the space that you have to play with and imagine your guests in it before adding the all important entertainment.

Have an open discussion with your chosen wedding venue about the entertainment you are considering booking, before you part with your deposit. If you’ve chosen a beautiful grade II listed building to get married in, it might not be possible to hire a rock band as your wedding entertainment. Many wedding venues have certain restrictions when it comes to entertainment, such as sound limitations - which could have an impact on the type of bands you could book.

If you are booking professional wedding entertainment, they will provide you with a full contract along with their terms and conditions. You need to check these over carefully and pay close attention to the cancellation terms and any contingencies that they have in place for emergencies. 

Trust Your Entertainment
