There are a number of exciting festivals coming to Snowdonia, for example the Su Casa Festival 2017 at Surf Snowdonia which is coming very soon on the last bank holiday of May.

The first ever event of its kind, this incredible land surfing site will no doubt be one of the most talked about points of the year as a bevy of world class DJs descend into the Welsh valleys for the Su Casa Festival 2017.  Later on in the year, in July, there is also the Electric Wave Festival, again at Surf Snowdonia, which promises family fun, music, surf, slacklining, skating, climbing, mountain biking, hot tubs, and also a fairground!

Are you planning on going to either of these festivals? Are you wanting to go, but dreading the thought of being cooped up at night in a tepee?

Tents of course are part of a festival experience, but there’s nothing quite as annoying as revellers crashing into yours in the night (or heaven forbid, thinking your tent is theirs…) and should the weather be far from perfect (as per most festivals!) sleeping can be precarious.  All in all, we plan to attend both the Su Casa Festival as well as the Electric Wave Festival at Surf Snowdonia (of course we are!) yet, we think we’ll give the festival accommodation a miss.

What if you want to experience the festival, but not the backache that comes with it? There’s something just for you, and it’s very close. It’s important, after all to maintain a distance away from something, as there’s a very fine line between atmosphere and annoyance, and Ogwen Bank has the fantastic bonus of being enough to Surf Snowdonia to make certain that most of your day isn’t wasted in transit as you travel to see these festivals, but we’re also far enough to ensure that when the day is done, you can unwind peacefully, in the tranquil setting of acres and acres of woodland, right on the bank of the river Ogwen.
